TEAR TROUGH

20 minutes

pre-numbing applied

no downtime, slight bruising and swelling possible

the tear trough is a hollow that runs from the side of the nose, below the eye and above the upper cheekbone, almost creating a ‘dip’ in the face under the eyes. for some patients, this area can become deeper and more shadowed giving the appearance of dark circles and may feel like it makes them look more tired. many may also notice as they age, wrinkles appear around the tear trough areas. tear trough filler is a popular procedure with minimal downtime to improve and eliminate dark circles and appear more awake and less tired

lasts 6-9 months

  • Are lip fillers safe?
Risks are minimal, although these will be discussed with you at your appointment. However, it is not uncommon to experience minor side-effects like slight swelling/bruising, as fillers are an injection-based treatment which pierce the facial skin.
  • Do lip fillers hurt?
For this particular cosmetic treatment the pain level is considered minimal a topical anaesthetic cream is applied to numb the area prior to the treatment. Light pain or discomfort may occur, it is usually described as a small scratch when the needle is administered.
  • How long will the filler last?
Fillers are not permanent. How long they last depends on many factors such as the type of filler used and your body's natural metabolism. They usually last anywhere between six and eighteen months.
  • Will i have lumps in my lips?
Lumps are actually a common side effect after lip augmentation. The most common cause of lumps after filler treatment is swelling. These should naturally subside within the first two weeks but are totally correctable if need be. We do recommend following all of our aftercare advice to help speed up your healing process.
  • Can fillers be dissolved or removed?
Whilst we hope that you are 100% satisfied with your treatment, there may be rare occasions when your expectations had not been met. It is for this reason that we start each treatment with a thorough consultation to ensure that we understand what your goals and expectations are. If you are not happy with the result, or would like to have a treatment dissolved, it is possible to do so with hyaluronidase.
